Yes, every website is designed with SEO best practices in mind.

SEO is complex and there are many ways to enhance your ranking after launching your website and through proper tech setup and website copy during the design phase. You may work with an SEO specialist to provide keyword research, backlink recommendations, etc or a copywriter to write keyword-rich words for your website if you have certain goals you would like to achieve.

Through a strategic Copy Guide you will receive prompts for your page titles, descriptions and headings and may provide keywords which can be added through the site during the design phase.



Many designers provide SEO as an add-on service which include best practices which are standard in my packages.

As an example, you’ll always have the following included in your custom project:

• Proper heading and content hierarchy

• Site + Page titles with meta descriptions added + optimized URLs

• Alt Text written for all images

• Compressed images with proper file names

• Page speed checks and mobile optimization across main screen sizes

• Conscious use of additional scripts and custom code

• Internal linking, blog optimization

• Custom 404 page, re-directs and disabled pages as necessary

• Connection to Google Analytics and Search Console, or directions provided

• Utilize tools like SEOspace to check for gaps

The Mini Brand Add-on is for you if you’re choosing a semi-custom website (Re-style) or we need to freshen up your palette to make it web-accessible. This package does not include a logo, brand strategy or deep work regarding your business.

For brand strategy, and collaborative excavation of your target market, vision, mission, values, etc, I am happy to refer you to Brand Designers who match your aesthetic and industry so you’re set up with strategy before your website investment.

I recommend working with a Copywriter for the most ease and strategy-backed website words. I’m happy to refer you and strongly recommend this to ensure you’re connecting with your ideal clients. It is common to invest at least $2500 + and allow 1 - 3 months for your final copy unless you book an Intensive.

If you prefer to write your own website words for the sake of budget, I provide a Website Copy Guide ($400 value) with strategic website prompts for all design projects.

In addition, you’ll access a complimentary Website Content Strategy Call (Bloom) and assistance with editing and recommendations on your provided words at the time of design.

Note: all content is required one week before the start date of your project.

Once we've had a call and I have a good idea of your project scope, I can give you a better idea of a timeline.

I work with one project at a time and typically recommend at least 30 days to complete your ‘homework’ so it’s completed thoughtfully.

In order, you will want to complete your branding (colour palette, typeface, brand strategy), brand photography + copywriting and then website design. Allow enough time for each of these before your website design weeks.

Yes, to secure your date requires 25% down, 25% is due the week before the project and 50% on the date of completion.

Squarespace is a fantastic all-in-one platform for many small business owners and solopreneurs. It can host a blog, portfolio gallery, (smaller) e-commerce shops, courses, email marketing, scheduling and now includes project management!

The drag-and-drop functionality and user-friendly dashboard allow business owners to make needed content updates without worrying about ‘breaking’ anything or paying extra monthly maintenance fees to a developer.

It also features 24/7 support and a forum full of helpful peers if you’re stuck on something. Of course, I’m always here as well.
